2012 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Regional Finalist

Mochi

On the eve of the Pearl Harbor bombing, Miko's Japanese father was arrested as an enemy alien and removed from the hospital where he was recovering from cancer surgury. His death coincides with her arrival at the Topaz internment camp outside of Delta, Utah. Her new life is defined by fences. Her art teacher at the Topaz Art School eventually shows her how to live without boundaries and to create beauty from desolation. C0-written by Motoko.
